Read: The YW Camp Manual  & For the Strength of Youth pamphlet
Fundraising:   Work with your Ward Cabin Leaders and YW to plan and execute a fundraiser for camp. Encourage girls to look for ways to earn money on their own, as well.
Supplies:  Provide each girl with a “supply list” and assist them in collecting their camp supplies.
You will need to bring a 5 gallon water jug & provide cups for each cabin assigned to your ward.
*Please check and make sure that the girls who are hiking Mt. McLoughlin have all their gear for that hike BEFORE they come to camp!
Secret Sisters:  Make sure each girl from your ward has 5 Secret Sister gifts to bring to camp.
Certification:  Make sure your ward girls are all caught up with their certification requirements before they come to camp. You will delegate your ward’s cert. teaching assignment to your Cabin Leaders.
Dress Code:  Help all girls, particularly less-active or non-member girls, understand the dress code for camp.  Dress code applies to sleepwear & swimsuits as well.
Transportation:   Arrange transportation for Tuesday attendees from your ward (along with their belongings) to and from camp.  Don’t forget, this includes the 11year old girls’ day trip on Thursday.  Also, keep in mind, Saturday you will need to plan for extra rides for all the 5th & 6th yr girls who went  to camp on Monday but will be returning home with your ward.
Priesthood:   Work with your bishopric to provide appropriate priesthood leadership on your assigned night.
Bishop’s Night:   Arrange for your  Bishop (preferably) or a counselor in the bishopric, to come to camp and share a spiritual message with their ward girls.  They will also eat dinner and be there for testimony meeting.
Things to Keep in Mind:  If you’re feeling overwhelmed, share the load with your Cabin Leaders!!  This is a time to build strong bonds with your girls, so sit with them at lunch and at devotionals!  Make sure you  and your girls are at the scheduled activities on time. Some will need extra encouragement when waking up, doing chores, and participating in activities! Try to stay positive throughout the planning months and week at camp!
After Camp Evaluation:   Plan to come and share your thoughts!
